If you can't visualize your how big your baby is based on size alone, comparison might help. At 19 weeks, your baby weighs about the same as a banana, and, from crown to heel, she's now almost as long as your own foot. Her crown-to-rump length is about as long as your hand, measured from the heel of your hand to the tip of your longest finger. Although she still isn't technically "viable," she is inching closer to survival outside the womb as each day passes.
What the Baby Looks Like
Just a few weeks ago, your unborn baby looked more like an alien than a human being, but, if you could peek inside now, you'd see all those precious baby-face features that you've been looking forward to. Your baby's arms and legs have achieved much more normal proportions, and she may be able to hear your voice right now. Her skin is gradually becoming more opaque, so you wouldn't be able to see her organs and blood vessels as clearly if you could peek inside right now. At the end of the week, you're halfway to holding your little one. Good luck!
